Experience
I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching science. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis on integrated science. I also minored in chemistry. Additionally, I completed a master's degree in educational leadership at Saginaw State University. After I graduated, I began working as a full-time teacher. I have experience teaching high school-level astronomy, physics, and chemistry and middle school-level crime scene investigation and general science. I am very passionate about teaching science courses. I like to understand the way the world works, and science helps me achieve this. When I was a child I had many questions concerning the universe, atoms, and animals. Being able to discover the answers to my questions was very rewarding and empowering for me. My goal as a tutor is to help my students develop this same kind of curiosity. Being able to answer questions about how the world works can be a great tool in helping students become interested in science. In my free time, I like to play tennis, golf, and basketball. I also enjoy learning about current events and scientific topics. Additionally, I am a ninth grade basketball coach during the winter.
